🎨 Hobbies, Creative Habits & Other Endeavors 🎨

🎙️ | Radio Presenter: In 2018, I joined an online radio station for simulation gamers, Simulator Radio. Since then, I have been presenting radio shows there by playing electronic music songs to the community.📖 | Volunteer Translator: Since 2020 I have been working as a volunteer Turkish translator for Train Station 2, a railroad tycoon & management game from Pixel Federation.

🎥 | Video Editor & Content Creator: Since 2013, I have been interested in content creating and video editing. I started to record Club Penguin videos, which later on continued with other games like Tanki Online & Transformice. In 2015 I was recording and publishing Euro Truck Simulator 2, Minecraft and Counter Strike: Global Offensive videos. The channel had 50+ subscribers but over time I closed that channel and the videos don't exist today. However I still have a Youtube Channel today where I publish my artwork & game dev journey. Not just that but also on my art and developer Instagram pages as well. I edit videos, create content, make short and long videos, and share my content with my followers. I also made livestreams on Twitch and created a few artworks there live.

🖼️ Art Journey 🖼️

First Steps
My interest in digital art started with Microsoft Paint in late 2000s & early 2010s. I tried to replicate & recreate some of the scenes from my favorite cartoons and created my own landscapes. Unfortunately, none of them exists today.
Over time I learned Paint.NET and used it to create art for my games. I also learned GIMP and tried to create landscapes therePixel Art Journey
In 2023, I started to learn pixel art and started to publish them on Instagram, Youtube and such. I created 32x32 mini pixel arts, and it continued with bigger canvas sized landscapes, buildings & other artworks. I also made a few tutorial & timelapse videos as well. Check out my portfolio in my Art Page

🎮 Game Dev Journey 🎮

Beginning to Game Dev
My game dev journey started back in 2017. It was a duo project which we worked on a 2D farming sim RPG. It never saw the light of day, but we learned a lot from the process. In 2018, I tried to create a puzzle game in the same universe, but this time I was on my own. Due to life & school and some other issues, I had to stop working on it and take a long break from game development, even though I was aspiring to be a game dev and craving to make my dream games.
First Finished Game Project
After 5 years of absence in game development, I heard the noise in the back of my head that insistently kept telling me to make my dream games. And I started to create a simple project to learn Game Maker Studio, and Project Greyhound was born. It was inspired by difficult browser era skill games but with a few new enemies and features. Project Greyhound was a turning point as it was the first game I created and finished as a solo developer but It wasn't my dream game.

Learning & Improving Phase
In order to make my dream games, I either needed to learn to code, or find somebody to do the coding while I was gonna work on artistic and game design side of it. I chose to learn to code and I had to continue to my journey as a solo developer, which is good because it helps me learn new things in every aspect of development. But it is bad, because it was so hard having to do every single thing all alone, and I had to do everything superficial.
From mid-2023 through the end of 2024, I experimented with different projects such as a puzzle game, a platformer game, and a top down local-multiplayer tank shooter. I was getting better at coding, and I had the perseverance to help me continue my journey. I took a Game Maker Studio course, and it improved me a lot. I also started to make three big dream game projects at different times. But one by one, I realised that the projects were almost impossible for a solo developer like me.Run Quad Run
After all these unfinished projects I've been working for the past 2 years, I knew that I needed to make a game in a short period of time to help me start my career, and finally make the noise in the back of my head satisfied by actually finishing and publishing a game. So I decided to bring back Project Greyhound in a brand new style and a proper name, Run Quad Run!
